Shelltoe Systems: Litefeet Culture 2010-2025 is the first photography exhibition to highlight the dynamic, Harlem-born, Uptown-cultivated subculture that is warmly embraced by New Yorkers and boasts its status as a recognized Street Dance form practiced on many continents.
Shelltoe Systems situates Litefeet within NYC’s Hip Hop Dance tradition; connects it to Harlem youth culture, and Uptown recreational events. This exhibition marks the first time that Lafotographeuse has publicly displayed her photographs of the Litefeet community.
